Lakeside Park - Let the People Decide
2015-2021
Over 3000 of you signed the petitions to allow the citizens of Fond du Lac a voice in the future of lighthouse Point and Oven Islands. We need council members who will listen to the people.
I do not personally support putting a building on Lighthouse Point Island, but this is not my decision to make. This decision should be made by all of the people in Fond du Lac via a binding referendum, not four council people.
I signed the 9.20 direct legislation petitions and if I was on the current city council, I would not have approved signing a quickly negotiated Enhanced Developers Agreement without having the complete feasibility study and comprehensive financial information on what the costs are for the taxpayers of Fond du Lac.
Now that we have the feasibility study, it is lacking vital information and I do not favor continuing with any negotiations until we have this information. The feasibility study did not have financial projections for the restaurant, ongoing costs to the City, or capital costs for all the improvements in the AMP. Without this information, I cannot support going forward.
Public Safety Referendum - Vote Yes
2021
Public safety (police and fire protection) is the largest part of city’s budget and rightly so. Fond du Lac is one of only a small number cities in Wisconsin whose Police and Fire Departments are both accredited. I support a referendum to maintain these high standards.
Our fire department’s high ISO rating means we all receive lower rates to insure our homes. The high standards of the department can only be maintained if we give the department the staffing they need.

Saputo - Decide the Future of this Site
2018-2021
The city purchased the Saputo site in 2018. It is time to make plans for this site and proceed with development. It makes no sense to plan extensive improvements within Lakeside Park and leave a rotting industrial site on its doorstep.
Infrastructure - Frequent Flooding
2018-2021
Citizens are concerned, it appears we have increased frequency of flooding events in the city. We need to figure out why the flooding is happening so often and do something about it.
